The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) will be hosting a Crime Prevention/Gang Conference at the University of California, Irvine on April 29, 2011. The OCDE has invited the Foundation for Continuing Justice to speak about the Criminal Record Clearinghouse project and strategies for helping former offenders remove the barriers from employment and educational opportunities.
More than 500 community leaders from law enforcement and education fields will be attending. The workshop will also provide organization information on how to help former-offenders with the tools and resources to clean up their criminal record.
